The accurate positioning of components relative to each other is mandatory for many brazed assemblies. Therefore, correct positioning of joining components has to be assured during the brazing process.

Using brazing jig materials of the same or similar thermal expansion as the base material leads to high precision positioning. Choosing the most suitable jig material is important; common brazing jig materials are alumina or graphite.
